Boring Weekend

For the past two weekends I have been grounded so I was stuck at home all weekend doing nothing. Probably the most productive thing I did was run the battery out of my iPod 100 times and then have to charge it again. Of course my siblings were no help because they have been doing all they can to try and drive me crazy. I don't think there was one time when I was alone for more than five minutes. Sometimes I think they get together and wonder what they can do to me just to ruin my day.

Coming Home

My dad is in the military and he has been deployed in Afghanistan since the beginning of the summer. He is supposed to come back in a couple weeks. I am so happy because he is coming back just in time for my birthday which is on February 19. The last time I have talked to him was about a month ago on Christmas Day. I can't wait for him to come back. I wish the days would go by faster!

Learning About Concentration Camps

In my ELA class I have been recently learning more about the Holocaust and concentration camps. I always knew that they were harsh places but I didn't think they were as bad as they are. I learned that they would burn people alive to kill them. Among those people were a lot of children and babies. It seems so horrible that people had to live like that and people could actually treat others in that way. I would never be able to live with myself if I did something like that.

My New Year's Resolution for Reading

For this year I would like to read more books than I did last year. I am going to try to find more time to read. The first books I want to finish is the Luxe series. I have just started the second one out of the four books and I hope to finish it before the end of January. After those I don't really know what I want to read but I will try and find something interesting, which shouldn't be hard because there are thousands of books to choose from.
